A manufacturing company in the Fort Lauderdale area is seeking an experienced IBM i (AS400) Administrator / RPG Developer to join its IT team.
The ideal candidate must have strong experience in both IBM i system administration and RPG programming.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and maintain IBM i (AS400) environments.
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot RPG applications.
Work with RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, and Free-Format RPG.
Manage system security, user profiles, performance, backups, and system maintenance.
Work with CL Programming, Db2 for IBM i, and SQL.
Provide production support and troubleshoot system and application issues.
Support business applications and integrations.
Requirements
5+ years of IBM i (AS400) administration experience.
5+ years of RPG programming and application development experience.
Strong knowledge of RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, and Free-Format RPG.
Experience with CL Programming, Db2, and SQL.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or ERP environments is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
